Gas Struts
Installation Length is measured from the centre of one end fitting to the centre of the other, with the strut fully extended.
- Take the strut off the vehicle, or open the panel so the strut is fully extended.
- Measure from the centre of one ball socket to the centre of the other, in millimetres.
- That number is the length to order.
Length has to match before ordering. If yours sits between two sizes, measure again fully extended - a partly closed strut always reads short.
8mm Shaft Diameter
The thickness of the polished rod, not the length.
